Coastal Commission Approves Local Coastal Program Amendment (LCPA) 10-1!!!

The California Coastal Commission Staff recommended approval of the LCP Amendment with suggested modifications that we agreed with to make this the best project possible.  We had a lot of supporters that included Congressman Alan Lowenthal, State Assemblymember Patrick O’Donell, Mayor Robert Garcia, City Councilwoman Suzie Price, The Gabrieleno Band of Mission Indians – Kizh Nation and a large group of public supporters.

This LCP Amendment allows for oil development on the LCWA and Pumpkin Patch sites while ensuring that the extraction would be done in the safest manner possible and requiring that the restoration we have proposed is included in the effort.

If you would like to check out the staff report that was prepared by Coastal Staff please check out this link: https://documents.coastal.ca.gov/reports/2018/8/W15a/w15a-8-2018-report.pdf

Now we move onto our Coastal Development Permit which provides more details about the Project
